Custom decision trees are an integral part of a MedRIS solution, providing the structure and direction for enterprise-wide activity and data management. Mantis works closely with managers at each client site to understand their particular practice management needs and then designs custom decision trees for each department and/or job function within the practice. These decision trees then serve as workflow templates (procedural guidelines) for the entire practice - allowing the organization to maximize efficiencies through "best practice" procedures and workflow organization.

By design, the expert systems employed by MedRIS allow automatic generation of billing forms, directly from a patient encounter. Mantis can also program MedRIS to provide the logic for automated CPT and ICD9 coding.
